Hi, I’m Kat, the heart behind Kat Pro Studio! 🫶🏼 With 15 years of experience as a professional hair artist, my journey in the beauty industry started with a pair of Hello Kitty scissors and some very stylish stuffed animals. Even as a kid, I loved creating unique looks that made them—and me—stand out.
Born with a port wine stain birthmark covering half my face, I faced Sturge-Weber syndrome, glaucoma, and countless surgeries growing up. These experiences taught me a powerful lesson: true beauty shines when you embrace your authentic self! 🖤
High school is where my love for hair and makeup blossomed, helping me express myself and sometimes hide parts of me I wasn’t ready to share. After graduating from the Aveda Institute of Denver, I navigated a challenging path, including emergency eye surgery and early career detours, but I never lost sight of my dream.
From working at MAC Cosmetics to running a home salon to eventually opening my own studio, every step led me to where I am today. With the love and encouragement of my husband, I found the confidence to build something bigger—a space that radiates kindness, empowerment, and authenticity.
